Antique Oriental Bronze Flower Basket Planter – High Relief Floral & Bamboo Handle (15cm height)

A beautiful antique East Asian bronze basket dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. This unique heavily cast vessel is sculpted with sculptural, large, naturalistic hibiscus blossoms and foliage executed in high relief, showing premium metalwork technique.                                                                                                                                   The overhead fixed handle realistically mimics the organic nodes and joints of natural bamboo. With a beautifully aged, authentic green verdigris patina coating the interior, this characterful piece serves as a striking historic planter or tabletop centerpiece.
