A rare, museum-linked antique Wedgwood miniature two-handled loving cup in striking, deep cobalt blue jasperware dip. One side features a sharp white bas-relief portrait bust of master potter Josiah Wedgwood over his lifespan banner (1730–1795). The reverse side features the historic Wedgwood family coat of arms, topped with a lion rampant crest and a scroll reading the Latin motto "Obstania Discindo" ("I break down that which stands in my way").

Imprinted on the base with the rare commemorative stamp celebrating the opening of the Wedgwood Museum in 1906.

Condition: good condition: no chips, cracks or repairs;

light age-related surface spot on the blue ground near the top rim (visible in close-up images); interior has age related staining and spots; superficial surface scratch under coat of arms
