Vintage Pair of Rearing Horse Ceramic Statues – Mid-Century High-Gloss Brown Glazed Stallion Figurines

Vintage equestrian elegance -striking pair of rearing horse ceramic statues. Features a deep, rich high-gloss brown glaze, frothy cream manes, multi-dimensional details on all sides.                                                                                                                                          These stylized stallion figures make a bold statement and are perfect for standalone display on a mantel, console table, or shelf and would be fantastic addition to any retro, bohemian, or rustic interior collection.

Maker: possibly West Germany or Japanese export (features two distinct small, incised/impressed double-oval marks (an oval within an oval) on the base of one figurine).

Age: circa 1960s-1970s

Dimensions: height 18.5cm/7.3”, width 6.2cm/2.4”, length 14cm/5.5”, weight 895 gr

Condition: very good, no crazing, cracks or breaks. One horse features a distinct horizontal factory mold seam/parting line across the lower flank base, fully sealed beneath the original firing glaze and does not affect the structural integrity or display value. Some minor glaze pops and pinholes from production.
