Vintage Wedgwood Black Basalt Teapot with Sybil Finial

This Wedgwood black basalt teapot features an elegant, globular Art Deco form with D-shaped geometric handle and a beautifully sweeping spout. The flush-recessed lid is topped by sculpted "Sybil" (also known as the Widow of Zarephath) seating finial. The exterior has a smooth, unglazed matte black finish, interior is coated in protective high-gloss black glaze.

Condition: very good exterior condition : no chips, cracks, or repairs; light white surface storage scuffs, including a small visible scuff mark on the right arm of Sybil finial. These are superficial, surface-level marks that do not penetrate into the stoneware body.
