Wedgwood Black Basalt Egyptian Collection Sphinx Square Pin Tray / Trinket Dish

This rare vintage square pin tray is a standout piece from the Wedgwood Egyptian Collection, produced to commemorate the late-1970s Egyptian Revival era. It is ornamented with a crisply detailed, unglazed terracotta clay bas-relief applique depicting a seated winged Sphinx above a winged solar disc motif.                                                        The reverse clearly bears the impressed factory marks: "WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND" alongside the specific year production stamp "W 78".

Condition: very good vintage condition; no chips, cracks or repairs
