A beautiful mid-to-late Victorian boat-shaped creamware centrepiece bowl by the renowned British maker Wedgwood. Decorated in the late 19th-century Aesthetic style, the features a prominent central sepia-brown transfer-printed design showcasing an ornate flower basket, a ceremonial vase with peacock feathers, and an open scholar's scroll.                                                                                                                                    The inner and outer walls are detailed with stylized floral sprays, intricate mystic knots, and chinoiserie design - Eastern medallion symbols (including the Chinese Shou longevity mark). Raised on an oval foot.                                                                                                  A highly elegant historical statement piece for collectors of classic British transferware.

Dimensions: height  9cm/3.5”, length 27.5cm/10.8”, width 20cm/7.9”, weight 625gr

Condition: overall good antique condition, some spotting and wear on paint due to age, hairline crack on upper left rim edge, it does not extend across the foot rim or compromise the general structural stability of the bowl (please see photos).
