Antique Copeland Spode plate

This is a beautiful antique blue and white transferware plate made by Copeland Late Spode , produced in 1848.  It is a lovely example of Victorian transferware and would make a stunning display piece or addition to a blue and white collection.

Features a striking central design of Gothic ruins in a scenic landscape, surrounded by a rich oak leaf and acorn border. The detailed scene and classic cobalt blue colour make this an excellent piece of English ceramics.  

Marked Copeland Late Spode stamp and British diamond registration mark. Diameter 31.5cm. There is some wear on borders, 3 spots in the middle of the plate, minor crazing consistent with age. Please inspect the photos carefully.
