Antique English Flow Blue Cobalt & Gilt Floral Biscuit Barrel – Wicker Swing Handle

Infuse your space with late-Victorian elegance with this antique English earthenware biscuit barrel. This cylindrical ceramic jar is completely enveloped in a deep, rich cobalt flow blue glaze, providing a moody background for its hand-painted, large-scale romantic peony blooms and lush foliage. The floral pattern is enhanced with bright, hand-applied gold (gilt) detailing that catches the light from every angle. This storage canister comes complete with ceramic insert lid and an over-arching woven wicker swing handle.
Maker: English Staffordshire Potteries, possibly Carlton Ware or Gibson & Sons.
Age: likely 1890 – 1910

Condition: good, few glaze imperfection spots on surface (see photos); crazing inside, some manufacturing paint spots
