Antique Mettlach Villeroy & Boch Stoneware Vase - Model 1719

A superior example of Mettlach Model 1719, this twin-handled stoneware vase features an exquisite etched "chromolith" design. The body is decorated with a geometric quatrefoil pattern in olive, brown and cream, accented by raised enamel "jewels" and elegant scroll handles. The base and neck transition into a beautiful foliate motif in rich ochre and green tones.

Age: circa 1885–1900 (Late Victorian Period)
Dimensions: 21/8.3”cm tall, 10cm/3.9” wide with handles, base diameter 6.5cm/2.5”, weight 430gr
Condition: excellent condition with no cracks, repairs, or external chips. Note a minor glaze chip on the inner edge of the top rim (visible only upon close internal inspection) which does not affect the outward appearance or display quality.
