Antique Wedgwood White Ironstone Toothbrush / Razor Tray, dated 1882

A mid-Victorian white ironstone tray used as a washstand accessory, used as a toothbrush- razor tray. Detailed vibrant blue and white scrollwork with central gold flower motifs. It features the classic "WEDGWOOD" impressed mark and a three-letter date code. Wedgwood was highly regarded for its "White Ironstone" or "White Granite" which was designed to be incredibly durable and were meant to withstand the daily moisture and heat of a Victorian bedroom's washstand. Now these trays are popular as an interior decor pieces.

Age: Victorian dated 1882 Measurements: lenght 22.5cm/8.8", width 9cm/3.5", weight 236gr
Condition: some wear and tiny chips on rims, cobalt blue underglaze speckling (ink bleeds), which occurred during the firing process at the factory
