A charming piece of vintage George Clews & Co Ltd pottery jug from the Staffordshire region of England, featuring the globe backstamp, likely dates from the Art Deco period -1930s. This stoneware jug features a striking hand-painted design: a bold cobalt blue upper band with stylized motifs contrasts beautifully with a cream or off-white lower body adorned with delicate green-lined scrollwork and central blue leaves accents. The piece is robustly made, stamped on the base with the company's iconic globe mark, confirming its English origins and quality craftsmanship typical of mid-century utility wares.
