Narrow ornate wood/papier- mâché painted box

This Kashmiri style handcrafted box is both decorative and functional- whether for storing pens, jewellery or keepsakes.

Wood base, covered with papier-mâché lacquered box features a dense, intricate floral motif across the entire exterior, gold tone accents and black trim. The pattern consists of cream, red, green, and black hues, resembling a rich tapestry of vines and leaves.                           The inside of the box is painted black and lacquered.                                                          Measurements: length 20cm/7.9", width 6.2cm/2.4", height 4cm/1.6"                                        In good vintage condition.
