Silver Plated Metal Flowers and Birds Embossed Box, Foreign, Japan

This Japanese silver-plated or white metal trinket/jewellery box featuring extensive repoussé decoration of birds and cherry blossoms.

The box is rectangular with a hinged lid and stands on four bracket feet. The entire exterior features detailed, high-relief work depicting a Japanese natural scene, primarily long-tailed birds perched among dense cherry blossom branches. The interior is lined with red velvet.
