Antique Doulton Biscuit Barrel, Nankin pattern

A beautifully decorated antique biscuit barrel with silver plated lid and handle, lid featuring a decorative finial engraved in vines and grapes pattern. 

Made by Doulton Burslem, England, Nankin pattern, late 19th century.

Measurements: height 16.5cm/ 6.5"(with lid finial), diameter 15cm/5.9".

Classic rounded ceramic body with a richly decorated floral chinoiserie pattern in vibrant tones of orange, green, brown, and gold on a white background and gold accents. Stylized flowers and scrolling foliage create an eye-catching, exotic aesthetic. 

In very good condition with minor wear consistent with age.  Small dent on lid's rim. Please inspect photos closely for details.
