Vintage African Hand-Carved Boat-Shaped Bowl with Shell Inlay

This long, boat-shaped bowl carved from a single piece of hardwood features a central wooden divider and a distinctive horizontal row of mother-of-pearl inlays along the exterior, depicting a band of geometric tribal symbols. This decorative piece of tribal art is often used for serving or as a "treen" (small wooden household item) display.
Age: mid-20th century (1950s–1970s) Origin: Likely Kenya handcrafted by skilled tribal artisans- Akamba or Kamba people of Kenya Measurements: lenght 37cm/14.6", width 10cm/3.9", height 4.5cm/1.8", weight 115gr Condition: some surface wear, some scratches inside, but overall very good condition, no missing shell parts
