Vintage Creative Kokeshi Doll by Toa Sekiguchi

This adorable doll is a creative  Kokeshi doll made by the award-winning artist Toa Sekiguchi. The doll has a black painted top -hair and a hand-painted face with minimalist features. The body features hand-painted details resembling a kimono or traditional garment in a yellow/gold wash with red accents. They are often made from woods like Mizuki (dogwood) or cherry, which are seasoned before carving.

Age: possibly from the 1950s-1970s, aligning with Toa Sekiguchi's active career. Measurements: 10.5cm/4.1" tall, 33cm/13"girth, weight 385gr

There are dents and few scratches on the side of the doll, please check the photos carefully.
