Vintage Hand-Carved Coconut Palm Wood Trinket Box – Turtle Finial

This small hand-turned decorative bowl/box is made from exotic Coconut Palm wood. Known for its unique speckled grain, this tactile piece is topped with a finely detailed hand-carved bone turtle. Perfect as a coastal-themed desk accessory or a special place to keep rings and small jewellery. 

 Maker:  artisanal piece likely from Indonesia, Bali or Philippines

Age: circa 1980s – 1990s

Dimensions: diameter 10cm/4”, height 7cm/2.8”

Condition: some wear and scratches on bottom, hairline surface crack consistent with age (small surface cracks that follow the grain are common in dense woods like coconut palm as they dry or adjust to humidity), please see photos.
