Vintage Signed JC Tonala Mexican Folk Art Vase - Desert Scene

A charming hand-painted Mexican stoneware vase from Tonalá. Features a wrap-around desert landscape with a mother, child, and campesino. The back is accented with traditional geometric "petatillo" style patterns. Finished with a vibrant turquoise blue glazed neck and interior and a textured, matte sandstone body.

Age: circa 1970s–1980s

Dimensions: 14.5cm/ 5.7”tall, 6.5cm/2.5” top diameter, 5.5cm/2.2” base diameter,  32.5cm/12.8”girth, weight 390gr

Condition: excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
