Wedgwood Pale Blue Jasperware Etruscan Sacrifice Jug / Classical Pitcher

This elegant, rounded Etruscan shape jug beautifully showcases classic British pottery design and is adorned with crisply applied white bas-relief appliques of neoclassical "Sacrifice to Peace" motif, classical figures, an altar, and a Cupid atop a pedestal. The upper rim is encircled by hanging floral swags and rosettes, complemented by a beautifully decorated handle. The interior features a smooth glaze, making it fully functional as a creamer, small pitcher, or display piece.

Condition: very good vintage condition with no chips or restorations; pristine interior.
Note: small relief crack on the trunk of the tree and a minor production imperfection on the handle where the white relief slip trailing features a slight gap in the line work.(common manufacturing characteristic from the hand-application process of the period, does not affect the structural integrity or display value.)
